A new assistant instructor for the club and also two members getting engaged on a dive in Egypt. Today alone we had 4 people take their first breath underwater with us, and every single one came out smiling. There’s nothing better than introducing new people to the underwater world and seeing that moment when it all clicks. As we step into a new year, everyone at Staffordshire Divers would like to wish you a very Happy New Year. This year feels particularly special. We started as a small group of just 5 divers, and through shared passion, hard work, and a strong sense of community, we have grown to close to 40 members. That growth is entirely down to the people who give their time, enthusiasm, and support to the club. From pool sessions and training milestones to quarry days, sea dives, and plenty of laughs along the way, the past year has been one to be proud of. We are a friendly, non-profit diving club based in Stafford, welcoming new and experienced divers alike. The year ahead brings more training, more adventures, and more opportunities to get in the water together as the Divers in Orange. The dive site was Taliarte, in Gran Canaria. Absolutely loaded with octopus, massive rays passing through, an incredible angel shark sighting, and a couple of cuttlefish to finish it off.
