A different adventure each day

September took Staffordshire Divers to Croatia for a week of liveaboard diving. With walls, caverns, wrecks and an aircraft wreck among the experiences, there was plenty of variety beneath the surface.

Trips like this are an opportunity to spend time diving together, explore somewhere different and share the experience with fellow club members.

Walls, caverns and swim-throughs

The week included wall diving and cavern scenery, alongside swim-throughs during our national park diving. These offered a different perspective on the underwater landscape and plenty to discuss back on board.

Moving between different types of sites made the trip particularly varied. Each dive brought its own character, from following underwater features to exploring the shape and scale of a wreck.

Wrecks beneath the surface

Wreck diving was another highlight, including an aircraft wreck. Seeing a recognisable structure underwater adds something special to a dive, offering a striking contrast with the surrounding environment.

The trip also included deeper diving for appropriately qualified members. Depth, current and site conditions all shape the planning, with dives chosen to suit the people taking part.

The club experience, above and below the water

A diving holiday is about more than the time spent underwater. Staying aboard together creates space to compare dives, talk through equipment and enjoy the social side of the trip.

Our Croatia week brought those elements together: varied diving, time with club friends and a collection of experiences to bring home.
